10/24/2006 - Public summons for enterprises to get the certificate »Family friendly Enterprise«
You are invited to join in the process of acquirement the certificate "Family friendly Enterprise". Summons is meant for enterprises, public institutions, nonprofit organizations and associations with at least 10 employees that are registered and have seat in the Republic of Slovenia. You can download the documentation from our web page or you can order it at Ekvilib Institute, where you can get also additional information about the summons. 10/24/2006 - Presentation of ours DP on the International Conference in Girona
Aleš Kranjc Kušlan in Polona Samec attended in Spanish Girona at the invitation of International Project Group Focus an international conference “Fostering Caring Masculinities”. They presented in grater detail our project, beginning of certificate system “Mother/Family friendly Enterprise” in Slovenia and the experimental phase of certificate system that is now going in enterprise “Zavarovalnica Maribor”.

10/20/2006 - DP “Young-Mother/Family-friendly Employment” on “Študentska arena”
On the flair “Študenstka arena” we presented working ours DP, informed future employees and employers and first of all future parents about their legal rights and about the begin of certificate “Mother/Family friendly Enterprise” and what could this mean by searching for a job. We asked (questionnaire) over 100 students what do they know about legislation from this field and we informed them about the beginning of family friendly politics in Slovenia. We had two workshops where we introduced problems of young people / potential parents, possibilities and strategies for solving problems of employed young parents, the part of employers by creating a positive organization clime for reconciliation and strategies for solving problems when they appear.

10/17/2006 - Round table »Fathers, welcome«
On Monday, 16 October 2006, a round table “Fathers, welcome” took place in “Cankarjev dom”. The round table was organized by Association of families at “Zveza prijateljev mladine Slovenije” and DP “Young-Mother/Family-friendly Employment” to support active fathers in their endeavor for nursing and caring of children, to encourage less active fathers to be more active and to influence employers point of view that they recognize in employed men fathers, so that the reconciliation of work and family will be easier and more successful.

09/12/2006 - Signing the agreement about public partnership with the newspaper “Finance”
On Monday, 12 September 2006, the DP made the agreement with the newspaper “Finance” about the public partnership. Newspaper “Finance”, who is attending the work of DP from November 2005, will take part in preparing and realization of the November Conference on the community responsibility in enterprises to employees and in October will be announced in “Finance” the public summons for enterprises to join in certificate system “Mother/Family friendly Enterprise”.

09/08/2006 - Press conference of DP "Young-Mother/Family-friendly Employment"
On the 7th September took at the Institute for Economic Research in Ljubljana already the second press conference of DP. On the press conference was presented the enterprise “Zavarovalnica Maribor”, who is the first Slovenian enterprise that will take part in certification system “Mother/Family friendly Enterprise”. We also presented the project of certification system “Mother/Family friendly Enterprise” that will be carry out in Slovenia this autumn for the first time and also the preparing on the certificate system that will probably start at the beginning of December 2006 for bigger group of companies. In the enterprise “Zavarovalnica Maribor” we will try out the certificate system. On the basis of experiences that DP will gain, will DP start in December 2006 with the certification system for bigger group of companies that will be invited to cooperation by public summons. The public summons will probably be announced in October 2006. The press conference also attended Majda Erzar, the director general of family directorate at the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs.

05/15/2006 - First press conference of DP
On the 12th of May, the first press conference of our development partnership took place at the Institute for Economic Research in Ljubljana. Press conference was prepared in cooperation with Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs.
Key note speakers were minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs mag. Janez Drobnič, dr. Nada Stropnik (Institute for Economic Research), dr. Aleksandra Kanjuo-Mrčela (Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana), dr. Nevenka Černigoj-Sadar (Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana) and Aleš Kranjc Kušlan (Ekvilib Institute).
